Contact Ron: Jim@ElkhornArchers.com

After returning from Vietnam and being discharged from the military in 1969, Jim and his young family moved to Baker City in 1971. He was introduced to bowhunting and archery by Truman Carter in the early seventies. Truman and Jim were hunting companions for a couple of years, as well as being and active member of the Elkhorn Archer's. In 1973, he and his family moved to Billings, Montana where he was Director of Marketing and Sales for Billings News Inc. for 19-1/2 years. He remained active in the outdoors, however archery took a backseat to the wonderful fishing that Montana is renowned for. He moved to Ogden, Utah, where he was promoted to General Manager and Director of Marketing for a News Agency there until deciding to return home to Baker City in the late 90's. He retired, in 2009 and again became an active member in the Elkhorn Archery Club, where he currently is the club Treasurer. He continues to live in Baker City with his wife of 42 years here he continues to bowhunt and promote his love for the sport of archery.
